Chantal Baudouin is an award-winning Acadian artist from Moncton. Alumni of the Dance Arts Institute of Canada (Toronto), she has evolved as a dancer amongst renowned companies such as Toronto Dance Theatre, ProjectLIMB (New York) and PPS Danse (Montreal), performing on national and international stages. A loyal performer for the Compagnie DansEncorps (Moncton) of many years, Chantal has collaborated on the creation and toured the recent production, Le Corps en 4 saisons (2025).

 

Chantal has been creating and producing works since 2018, including Les Nœuds de Gustav (in collaboration with Jessie Garon), which toured Atlantic Canada in 2024 and Bagage, a short film presented at the Festival international du cinéma francophone en Acadie (2023).  Chantal has also distinguished herself as an assistant director and movement consultant in the project Zone Rouge by Mathieu Chouinard and Taigué Ahmed. Among her recent distinctions, Chantal was selected to represent Canada-New Brunswick in Kinshasa for the IXth Francophonie Games and is the winner of two Éloizes awards: Artist of the Year in Dance (2018, 2024).  Supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the New Brunswick Arts Board, she is currently working on her second full-length show.

 

Alongside her career as a performer and choreographer, Chantal is deeply engaged in her community as a teacher, rehearsal director, cultural mediator, and guest artist in schools and preschools. Strongly committed to the advancement of her discipline, she is a member of the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists (CADA/East) and the Association acadienne des artistes professionnel(le)s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AAAPNB), and sits on various committees working to develop dance in New Brunswick and the integration of art and culture in education and early childhood development.
